How can I get my hands on some money in time for Christmas?
My husband is in the Military. I’m a full time student. We barely make ends meet. How can we come up with some money for presents? I’m looking for something other than sell on ebay and craigslist. Also no garage sales. I live in Wisconsin and it is freezing right now. What else is there? I have less than perfect credit, and I’m already in debt since I’m a student. How can I get some money? It seems like there is someway, I’m just missing it.

Well get a job when your classes are done at night and then you should have a little extra money but dont just use that money on christmas mabey its ok not to have a christmas and just pay off some of your debt.
you could tutor other students in your class in your free time (this only takes like an hour)
you could babysit (this usually takes a long time though – parents usually go out for like 4 hours at a time, so that doesnt give you much time to sleep and do homework and stuff)
you could shovel snow (this isnt very fun though)
why do you need money for christmas anyways? just agree with your family members to have a christmas that’s not so commercial – christmas is about the feeling anyways!

I agree that you don’t need a lot of money to enjoy Christmas. Get some good Christmas movies (“Scrooged” is a riot). Go to the library and rent some Christmas CDs. It does not have to be a very expensive season. Go easy on the gifts, maybe give something like cookies, cake, or someones favorite food (lasagna? ribs?).
If people are truly friends and family, they will understand that you are just a student now. To get a bit more money, babysitting, tutoring , shovel snow, are ideas. Surely some of the local stores will be looking for extra temporary help this time of year? If there is a job bank in your city pay a visit. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
