You CAN NOT PLAY A 6 STRING GUITAR with only 5 STRINGS. Either you BUY A NEW STRING or you DON’T PLAY IT… it’s just that simple.
Get a new string put on FIRST before doing anything else. Since the string needs to stretch and will continue to stretch for 3-4 days, you can’t play it because it will go out of tune fast. You will have to tune the guitar afterward, so at the music store buy a tuner if you don’t already have one.
Would you try to drive a car if it didn’t have a drivers seat door? I don’t think so. You’d get a new door put in before heading out on the road.
That is like asking how can I drive my car if a wheel is missing.
If you are that broke. You will just have to suffer.
A set of strings (6) can be less than $10
